# Cash Flow And Business Models

I see Dell’s business model as an example of growth driven by cash flow: the company could receive payment before making products, helping keep inventory low and cash moving.

On November 1, 2025, I said Dell figured out how to get paid before making the product; I attributed its near-zero inventory and ongoing cash flow for further growth to that approach.

I also quoted @FoundersPodcast describing Dell’s run as “One of the greatest runs in business history” and saying it was profitable every single quarter. The post gave no period, quarter count, or financial figures for that claim.
