# Canva Ai Design Tools

My reactions to Canva’s AI design tools have shifted from blunt criticism to noticing rapid progress and finding a prompt-based editing experience convenient. My brief posts do not establish how the tools perform in a systematic test.

On December 5, 2025, I wrote, “Canva AI is actually so bad.” I gave no examples or explanation for the negative assessment.

On October 29, 2026, replying to @canva, I remarked on how quickly Design AI had advanced and recalled thinking an earlier version was “peak.” I posted the same thought twice that day, at 20:48 and 20:29 UTC; the later wording added “lol.” I did not identify what “this” referred to, and each post included a different link.

On October 30, 2026, I said I had just done something inside Canva with a single prompt and found it “crazy convenient.” I did not specify the task or confirm whether I used Brush.

In the post I quoted, @canva described Brush as its first vision-language model for design. Canva said Brush can see a design’s layout, layers, and “vibe,” and edit alongside the user, with examples including fixing one line of text, restyling a whole deck, or building from a blank page. Those product claims are Canva’s, not results I independently verified. The post does not establish Brush’s availability, performance, or limitations.
