On April 16, 2026, I compared black-hat app operators unfavorably with black-hat ecommerce operators, saying the ecommerce operators “got nothing on” them. I was reacting to a report shared by @cecianasta, with @byJuliaLove also credited in the quoted post.

The quoted report alleged that Apple and Google directed users to dozens of “nudifying” apps. It said the apps were found by searching “undress” or “nudify,” and reported $122 million in earnings and 483 million downloads. Those claims belong to the report, not to my own research or independently verified results.

The post did not identify the report or specify the time period covered by its earnings and download figures. It also did not give further details about the apps.
