I have reacted to speculation and reports about Bitcoin holdings by wealthy figures, governments, and banks. These posts mix my own brief comments with claims made by other accounts; they do not independently verify those claims.
On January 22, 2025, replying to @WatcherGuru, I speculated that an unidentified man might have a hidden ledger containing billions in bitcoin. I did not identify who “He” referred to or provide evidence for the speculation.
On March 2, 2025, I called it a “Wild year.” while quoting @BecauseBitcoin. The quoted post said Trump had declared BTC and ETH would be at the heart of the US Crypto Reserve, alongside other valuable cryptocurrencies. That was the quoted account’s claim, not a reserve plan or announcement of my own.
On March 7, 2025, I wrote, “Bitcoin reserve confirmed.” The post quoted @davidsacks47, who said President Trump had signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, capitalized with Bitcoin forfeited to the federal government through criminal or civil asset-forfeiture proceedings, at no cost to taxpayers. The quoted statement estimated that the government owned about 200,000 bitcoin, acknowledged that it had never had a complete audit, and said the order directed a full accounting of federal digital holdings. The captured quote cuts off after “digital,” so it gives no further details about the accounting.
On January 10, 2026, I wrote, “Wow, it’s happening.” while quoting @Investments_CEO. That account claimed Wells Fargo had purchased $383 million worth of Bitcoin and characterized the purchase as evidence that U.S. banks were loading up. The captured post offered no supporting details or verification, so this remains a quoted claim rather than an independently established purchase.
