In September 2026 I hosted a series of “AI Tuesdays” and “Tech Tuesdays” events for Nexus Venture Partners, bringing together founders, CTOs and investors to discuss the emerging AI infrastructure bottlenecks, post‑training evolution (RLHF → RLVR → RLCD) and specialized hardware. The sessions ran from 2026‑09‑09 to 2026‑09‑29 and featured participants such as Varad Maniyar (Nexus), the co‑founder & CTO of Neysa, a former OpenAI founder (Jev), a stealth DeepTech founder (ex‑Pixxel) and several leading AI researchers.

- **Event date range**: 2026‑09‑09 to 2026‑09‑29

I decided to focus on inference‑centric cluster design because inference now dominates AI workloads, making “cost per token” an insufficient metric for agents that make dozens of model/tool calls. I also adopted RLCD as the next north‑star to move beyond RLHF’s human‑preference shortcuts toward calibrated, verifiable decisions that software can consume directly.

Sign‑up links for the two flagship sessions are https://luma.com/c0sv23nk (AI Infrastructure) and https://luma.com/19n45ou8 (Tech Manufacturing).

- **Key participants**: Varad Maniyar (Nexus), Neysa CTO, Jev (ex‑OpenAI), stealth DeepTech founder (ex‑Pixxel), plus AI researchers
- **Hardware landscape**: Apple Neural Engine, Google TPU, Groq LPU, Cerebras wafer‑scale, AWS Trainium
- **RLCD north‑star**: “programs in the loop.”
- **Paper‑reading attendance**: 15 researchers
- **Session length**: “almost 2.5+ hours”
- **AI infrastructure quote**: “AI has triggered an infrastructure buildout unlike any technology shift before it.”
- **GPU constraint quote**: “GPUs, power and networking are becoming the real constraints underneath the AI boom.”
