I noted a community comment that asked, "@BeingPractical What about VC trying to be influencers? :)" This informal query sparked my thinking about how venture capital firms might adopt influencer roles, potentially shaping startup ecosystems and market perception.

I observed that digital content, especially 2‑minute pitch videos, can double monthly deal flow for VCs, adding another ~100 deals on top of the ~100 deals generated by traditional networks.

Traditional networks generate ~100 deals per month; digital content adds another ~100 deals per month, effectively doubling monthly deal flow.

I argued that at the pre‑seed stage VCs must focus on attracting the right founders rather than the other way around.

- Core question for VCs now: “Will the right founders pick you?”.
- Brand building is essential for VCs.
- VCs should ask themselves “Why us?” to become a force multiplier for founders.

I produced a short video for my portfolio brand MomsMade, a traditional Bihar thekua business run by a mother‑son team, and leveraged my network to get Bollywood actor R Madhavan to share it.

The video helped double MomsMade's sales since it came out.

I use this experience to argue that content can serve as real distribution and quietly build a brand, so I now see "some anxiety usually just means you've stepped out of your comfort zone" as a personal rule that keeps me creating.

I have made peace with one rule, some anxiety usually just means you've stepped out of your comfort zone.
