Forecasting Framework October 2026

I stay as up to date as humanly possible in AI by using a four‑lens forecasting framework.

  • Research lens – primary source: arXiv.
  • Startups lens – primary sources: Y Combinator/Hacker News, Axios Pro Rata, The Information.
  • Zeitgeist lens – primary sources: TikTok comments, my own inbox.
  • Regulation lens – primary sources: Politico, Platform Economy Insights, anyone in DC.

I assume 40% of paying inactive subscribers disappear within 2 years.

I use this workflow: pick an AI outcome, score each lens 0‑5, and revise predictions as new evidence appears. X October 2026 Testing shows an example of the research‑lens scan.
