# Wind Forecast Analytics Platform

I built WindSignal, a full‑stack analytics platform that lets electricity procurement teams explore UK wind generation forecasts and evaluate historical forecast accuracy.

I chose a React + TypeScript front‑end and a Python + FastAPI back‑end to tightly couple UI interactivity with robust data processing.

I integrated the Elexon BMRS API as the authoritative source for UK electricity data.

I compute MAE, RMSE, bias, and percentage‑based error metrics for forecast accuracy analysis.

I preserve forecast publication timestamps and filter to include only forecasts available before a decision cutoff, avoiding look‑ahead bias.

I containerize the entire stack with Docker for reproducible environments and simplified deployment pipelines.
