The system prompt enforces a Socratic teaching sequence: clarify the topic → ask the student easy warm-up questions → let them attempt the real problem → review their attempt specifically → then give the final explanation, tied back to what they tried.

Retrieval uses TF‑IDF similarity on the student’s own notes (chosen over neural embeddings for deterministic demo behavior).

A proxy that intercepts a device's network traffic cannot run as a hosted website — no browser can reach into another device's system network settings, for the same reason no legitimate website can silently take over your internet connection.

The repository name is studyfocuswithproxy.

It is owned by @aditiraj0129-netizen.

The primary language of the codebase is Python.

Project work started in July 2026.

The last update was in September 2026.

A live demo is hosted at https://studyfocuswithproxy.vercel.app/.

The project was built by Aditi Raj and Tanmay Agnihotri.

YouTube is capped at 1 hour for younger students.

The project began as a Computer Networks assignment to create a custom reliable transport protocol, later evolving into a full‑stack study‑focus platform with a forward proxy gateway and a teaching‑oriented RAG chatbot.
