# Ai Speaking On My Behalf Permission Boundaries

On 2026-11-05, I described testing a personal AI “brain” that strangers can talk to before meeting me. I see the idea as promising, but I want clear limits on what it may say on my behalf.

- I use three permission levels: “Say it” for information I have actually written, such as my projects, skills, and public posts; “Ask me first” for my opinions on topics I have not written about; and “Never” for private information, including my phone number and salary.

The problem I see with most AI twins is that they offer only the first permission level and then guess. I do not want an AI to invent my opinions or disclose private information.

I added six lines of rules to my AI, including “private means never share” and “don't invent my opinions.” By the next day, it was following them. That showed me the technology can follow these boundaries, even though users are not being asked to set them.
