I built Vitto Loan Portal as a full-stack loan application management system. Applicants submit requests in their preferred language, and admins review, approve, or reject them from a centralized dashboard. The repository is on my GitHub profile, github profile.

The frontend stack is React 19, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS 4, React Router 7.
The backend and supporting stack is Node.js, Express 5, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Axios, Lucide React.
The backend has a server.ts entry point on port 5000; app.ts configures Express, CORS, and routes; config/db.ts provides PostgreSQL connection pool.
Backend application files include applicationRoutes.ts, applicationController.ts, validateApplication.ts, types/application.ts.
The frontend entry point and routes are provided by main.tsx and App.tsx; ApplyPage.tsx is the public application form, DashboardPage.tsx is the admin dashboard, and services/api.ts contains the Axios instance.
The backend environment uses DATABASE_URL=your_postgres_connection_string and PORT=5000; the frontend uses VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:5000/api.
The applications schema has a UUID primary key default gen_random_uuid(); required name, mobile, amount, purpose, language, and status; status defaults to pending; created_at TIMESTAMPTZ defaults to NOW().
The API uses Base path /api; GET /health, POST /applications, GET /applications, PATCH /applications/:id/status, GET /summary.

Name and purpose are required and non-empty.
Mobile is required, exactly 10 digits.
Amount is required and greater than 0.
Language must be English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, or Marathi. Validation is enforced on both client and server.
The documented prerequisites are Node.js 18+ and a PostgreSQL database (local or remote).

The development servers run at http://localhost:5000 and http://localhost:5173.
The backend script npm run dev starts hot-reload using tsx watch.
The backend script npm run build compiles TypeScript to dist/.
The backend script npm start runs compiled server.
The frontend script npm run dev starts Vite dev server.
The frontend script npm run build type-checks and builds for production.
The frontend also has a production preview script and a lint script.
The frontend npm run preview script previews the production build.
The frontend npm run lint script runs ESLint.
Validation is enforced on both client and server.
