I hesitated to start a YouTube channel because editing each video took a lot of time – a friend told me it took her 8 hours per video. Outsourcing the editing cost me $1,100 per month, which felt unsustainable, so I turned to Claude as a zero‑cost AI editing alternative and focused on Shorts, which are quick to record and need far fewer assets.

I chose Shorts because they require less editing and are super fast to record.
To build the workflow I created a Content Library of reusable assets, installed the open‑source Hyperframes framework from HeyGen, gathered motion‑graphics references from X, and fed them to Claude to produce a markdown stylesheet of style guidelines.
Hyperframes is an open source framework from HeyGen that helps Claude Code build motion graphics with code.
I taught Claude using the Oxmovez AI Substack article and then connected Claude to Descript via the native Claude connector (Claude → Customize → Connectors → Add New).
I personally use Descript. It’s fully AI integrated and has a native connector with Claude.
