On October 16 2026 I posted a mash‑up of X threads covering three unrelated but data‑rich topics: the upcoming action movie “The Beekeeper 2”, a performance race between Epic Games’ launcher and Valve’s Steam startup times, and Amazon’s new $75 “Bee” wristband that records conversations.

Amazon paid more than $50 million to deliberately place The Beekeeper 2 in the January 2027 “graveyard” release window.

Epic’s rebuilt launcher averaged **5.47 seconds** from a cold start to the store page.

Steam’s pre‑update startup averaged **10.07 seconds**.

On 30 Nov 2018 Steam reduced its revenue cut to **25 %** after $10 M sales and to **20 %** after $50 M sales.
